- In which of these chapters (chapter 10 or 11) do we read about the rise of Solomon’s ‘glory’ and in which of these chapters does his 'decline' take place? What are some of the things that characterize his rise to glory and what are some of the things that characterize his decline?
- What would you say was Solomon’s greatest strength as king? What would you say was his greatest weakness?
- There are several contrasts revealed in these 2 chapters. For example, the “material” wealth of Solomon in chapter 10 is contrasted with the “spiritual” poverty of Solomon in chapter 11! Can you think of any other contrasts in these two chapters?
